Empowering Lineage, Strengthening Networks, Advocating for Reparations
Founded in 2021, TBAT Taskforce (The Black American Tribe) is a lineage verifying entity committed to protecting Black American descendants through lineage verification, advocacy, and coalition-building. Our mission is to ensure that Black American lineage is preserved, protected, and recognized in all spaces—social, political, and economic.
Lineage Verification & Genealogical Education
TBAT Taskforce verifies lineage for individuals and organizations that align with reparations and delineation. We provide genealogical education to empower Black American descendants with the tools to trace and document their ancestry.
Supporting Organizations & Activists
TBAT Taskforce works with organizations, activists, and advocates to advance lineage-based policies, reparations efforts, and community-building initiatives.
Tutnese Language Education
As part of our cultural restoration efforts, TBAT Taskforce provides Tutnese language classes to lineage-verified individuals within organizations that are part of the Lineage Alliance Network (LAN). This ensures that our ancestral language is preserved and passed down exclusively within the Black American Descendant Community.
Building a Trusted Lineage Verification Network
Through the Verification Partnership Program, TBAT Taskforce supports reparations-aligned organizations by providing verification services and featuring them in our trusted verification network, amplifying their efforts and connecting them to the broader movement.
Political & Social Influence
TBAT Taskforce partners with politicians and policymakers who advocate for reparations, lineage-based protections, and the empowerment of Black American descendants.
Media & Social Advocacy
We work with social media influencers and content creators to amplify authentic Black American lineage narratives, combat misinformation, and engage audiences in meaningful conversations about lineage, reparations, and community empowerment.

Honor Your Ancestry. Get Verified. Gain Access to Lineage-Based Support
TBAT Taskforce provides lineage verification as a foundational service for Black American descendants, ensuring that individuals can validate their ancestry, connect with lineage-based support, and access resources tailored to their heritage.
Verification does not require joining The City—our private, exclusive lineage community—but instead serves as a gateway to empowerment, advocacy, and education. Every verified individual is eligible to receive:
✅ A Lineage Verified Certificate – Official documentation verifying their ancestry through TBAT Taskforce.
✅ Referrals to Lineage-Based Entities – Connections to reparations-aligned organizations, genealogical research groups, and advocacy networks that support their lineage journey.
✅ Access to Genealogical Education & Research Tools – Resources and guidance to continue exploring and documenting their family history.
✅ Invitations to Select Lineage-Focused Events & Workshops – Opportunities to engage in historical, legal, and educational discussions that align with their heritage.
TBAT Taskforce exists to ensure that every verified Black American descendant has access to the tools, connections, and support necessary to honor their lineage—without any requirement to join a specific community.
🔎 How the Process Works
Take the first step:
Schedule a Care Support Appointment (Required before verification)
Meet with a Care Support Specialist for a 30-minute consultation.
Your Care Appointment will be held in the TBAT Virtual Office.
Determine if you’re ready for verification or if you need a genealogy class before proceeding.
Receive personalized guidance on next steps.
While TBAT Taskforce provides verification services to all aligned groups, The City was founded as the first safe lineage community built by TBAT. It serves as a private, cooperative space where Black American Descendants can connect, organize, and build self-sufficient communities.
Joining The City is NOT required to get verified. Verification is open to all eligible Black American descendants.
TBAT Taskforce ensures privacy and accuracy in all verification processes.
Verifying Lineage, Strengthening Communities, Building the Future
The Lineage Alliance Network (LAN) is a collaborative initiative led by TBAT Taskforce to empower organizations with lineage verification, genealogical education, and cultural restoration. LAN is designed to support and guide reparations-aligned groups, activists, and community leaders in establishing verified lineage-based communities that uphold the integrity and history of Black American descendants.
Through LAN, TBAT Taskforce provides:
✅ Lineage Verification Services – Ensuring that organizations maintain the highest standards of verification for their members.
✅ Genealogical Education & Training – Equipping communities with tools to document and preserve their family histories.
✅ Tutnese Language Education – Preserving and reclaiming our ancestral language. TBAT Taskforce teaches Tutnese exclusively to lineage-verified individuals within organizations in LAN, ensuring that this vital part of our culture remains within the Black American Descendant Community.
✅ Community Development Support – Assisting in the creation and structuring of sustainable lineage-based communities.
✅ A Trusted Verification Network – Connecting organizations committed to reparations, delineation, and the empowerment of Black American descendants.
