Our Story
Our Story
The City began with a vision: to create a safe, empowering space where Black American lineage communities could connect, organize, and thrive.
Born out of the need for privacy, trust, and cultural pride, The City first emerged as The Delineation Station—a grassroots initiative dedicated to protecting and advancing the interests of Black American descendants. As the need for lineage verification became clear, The City expanded its mission to ensure every member could confidently connect with their history and contribute to a collective legacy.
Inspired by the spirit of the Underground Railroad, The City is building cooperative, interdependent communities where members work together for mutual growth and self-sufficiency. Through this shared effort, we are creating a network of trust, support, and innovation that empowers individuals while strengthening the whole.
Today, The City stands as the Underground Lineage Community Resource Center, providing the tools, education, and resources needed to foster resilience, preserve history, and build a stronger future.

Here’s how you can get started:
Complete Orientation: All new members are encouraged to attend our Orientation session. This interactive introduction covers our mission, lineage-focused resources, and how you can play an active role in your community’s growth.
Become a Verified Member: Access exclusive tools and resources by completing our lineage verification process.
Stay Supported: Once you join, our Community Care Support Office will be in touch within 48 hours to guide you through the next steps.
